A taunt for a taunt

Landscapes shift with season and the implied trend. The eyes of one burdened by weather miss the colors and textures that come with it. Look up and one might see that a place not too far from home may be populated by men with hair on their faces, women with short hair and tall black leather boots, pierced noses and tats galore.

To fit, a man will take a razor to his face. Not in the winter, not since September.

A gal I used to know decided to dislike the beard. Later she became confused by facial hair, seeking it because she likes how it feels… or she likes what she felt.

I digress. The beard is a nuisance like the lawn is a nuisance. Anything that grows ad nauseam is a nuisance unless it is best kept wild.

I digress. Winter does not bring the most revealing fashion to the streets. Clothes are first for comfort. The artful coats and parkas, scarfs and beanies; layers and pieces give plenty of room for expression; accessories hidden outside and revealed in the heat.

What a wonderful way to distraction. The winter is a neutral ground for the fashion battle.
